Quadrivial

description

Quadrivial is an adaptation of the piece Double. The work focuses on the communication between the pianist and the other three players. The piano is prepared with the hairs of a bow in order to produce long string like sounds. In the climax of the piece, the pianist grabs a mallet and a fast percussive reacting between the flute, violin, cello and the pianist takes place. These theatrical gestures are written down in the score.
